What is EARTHWARD? For a more precise definition of who we are and what we do, please see our Mission Statement. But to know us in less formal terms, please read on. EARTHWARD is basically an organization of peace activists. We fully recognize that world peace is a goal that will not likely be achieved in our lifetimes. Still, we feel that if we, and others, do not pursue it, it will ~never~ be achieved.
Motivations for violence are numerous, and we do not pretend
to address them all. Recognizing that our numbers are few, we
choose to focus only on that which we see as most prevalent;
religion. We welcome all, with or without faith, to peruse our
website. And we hope that, whether or not you agree with what we
do, you at least understand why we do it.

Our Current Projects Are:
- * URGENT * Help ensure the survival of a refugee family in desperate circumstances after a vicious attack by religious extremists.
- Help victims of witchhunts, victims of the Hindu caste system, and discarded child "goddesses" in Nepal.
- Help victims of Shariah, and surviving family members of victims of ritual killings in Nigeria.
Our Recent Projects Were:
- Support Amina Lawal, in opposition to her sentence of death by stoning, for adultery (per Sharia law).
- Help India Tracy in her lawsuit against a school that allowed continued religiously motivated physical assaults and bullying against her.
- Provided desks and other badly needed supplies to a school in the Sunni triangle in Iraq, which has been ravaged by sectarian violence.
- Help Kashmiri children gain a
multicultural perspective and avoid fundamentalism and intolerance.
