Committees

Ordinary Committees:
These committees are responsible for the fundamental activities of the organization. Specific Ordinary Committees are described below:
Intelligence Committee:
Responsible for monitoring world events, and determining when and where and what kind of EARTHWARD assistance is needed. Also provides various other information gathering services.
Appropriations Committee:
Responsible for the acquisition of items needed for distribution to recipients, as well as items for the daily operations of the organization.
Distribution Committee:
Responsible for the timely delivery of needed items to intended recipients.
Finance Committee:
Determines, implements and maintains a financial strategy which optimizes effectiveness; benefits per contributions. Also responsible for budget planning and fund-raising activities.
Education Committee:
Provides instruction in the concepts of logic and common sense, and the benefits of religious and non-religious tolerance, particularly in areas where such instruction is otherwise not readily available.
Public Relations Committee:
Provides an interface between the organization and the general public. Represents EARTHWARD in matters raised by the media, and handles recruitment of volunteers.
Legal Representation Committee:
Determines any legal obligations the organization may incur, as a result of its actions, advises the Council Director accordingly, and represents the organization in any legal disputes that may transpire, or secures the services of outside legal professionals for this purpose. Generates any legal documents required in countries of operation, such as registration and tax exemption forms.
Special Committees:
These are transitory committees, dealing with special issues, which are originated and presided over by the Vice Chair.
